JOHN ENGHAUSER - BIO
Award winning composer, recording artist and producer, John Enghauser, has been on the music scene since age 17 when he fronted his first band in the high school variety show. Over the years, he has written, performed and produced everything from Rock to jazz to funk to blues… even Gregorian chant. Since the 90’s John has fronted bands Jamawokee, Jeng and The John Enghauser Band. He served as contributing songwriter, producer and Music Coordinator in the indie film “Urban Relics”. The “Urban Relics” soundtrack would mark John’s third album release. In 2009, John’s critically acclaimed album release “Lost in the Pages” was awarded “Hot AC Album of the Year” in the LA Music Awards. Al Bowman, CEO of The LA Music Awards was quoted as saying …"John's CD "LOST IN THE PAGES" is among the top five best albums we've EVER heard in the twenty-year history of our show. “Lost in the Pages” received radio play in 13 countries world wide including the US, England and Australia and received much critical acclaim. The success of John’s new album caught the attention of indie powerhouse, Blue Pie Records, who signed Enghauser to a global distribution and licensing deal in late 2009. In 2010, John received a nomination for “Singer-Songwriter of the Year” in the upcoming 20th annual LA Music Awards as well as nominations for “Male Hot AC Artist of The Year” and “Hot AC Single of the Year” with the song “So Many People”. To quote Music News Nashville “Enghauser comes with a smooth-as-silk voice, very much in the tradition of a Michael Buble or John Mayer”. In 2011, John was named to Music Connection Magazine’s “Hot 100 List”. John’s song “Still Waters” was placed in the movie soundtrack for the movie “Dealing With Destiny” which was released in the Spring of 2011. “Still Waters” could also be heard worldwide at global apparel brand stores in the same year. Since, John has released his critically acclaimed album “Reality” that he, again, wrote, arranged, performed and produced. The record features long-time friend and collaborator, Eric Holden, on bass (Josh Groban, Shakira, Vertical Horizon). Music Review says about Reality “Genius and sinister… so infectious you will find yourself absent-mindingly singing along in no time”. John again got the nod from The LA Music Awards who nominated him for “Male Artist of The Year”.
